Our Main Focus & Projects Education Educate every child. All girls and boys must have access to and complete primary education that is free, compulsory and of good quality as a corner stone of an inclusive basic education. Gender disparities in primary and secondary education must be eliminated. The object of our education programs in villages, is to equip children in age group 3 to 15 years and non-literate adults, particularly women, with basic knowledge and skills they require to enhance their welfare and that of their families. Many of our goals have been endorsed by major United Nations summits and conferences since the World Summit for Children. Education also means giving adults and children practical skills that will help them provide a living for themselves which is why we created an extensive sewing program. Women learn to sew and make clothes a skill that can later be used to earn a living.
Safe Drinking Water & Sanitation This project seeks to provide the rural populations with limited resources with low-cost safe drinking water. And to install communal latrines and introduce other simple and appropriate technologies and to establish a permanent health education component through the use of rural radio stations and other local resources. Water related diseases remain a major cause of illness in poor areas in developing countries. Acute diarrhea kills more than 3 million people every year. Electrification Roads |
